What to Bring

Welcome to Captain Joe's - we're delighted you've chosen to join us. Here are suggestions for clothing and other items you should bring. Please don't hesitate to discuss these with me when you book your trip.

Clothing Warm jacket, sweatshirt, and a rain slicker (Layered clothing will keep you more comfortable). Hat (with retention straps) & Sunscreen. Boots with non-skid soles.

Fishing tackle Be sure to check with us to see what kind of gear will be needed for the day’s fishing. Your tackle will be different if we are mooching, trolling or drifting in shallow water or in the deep.

Fishing License A fishing license is required for every passenger over the age of 16. Fishing licenses can be purchased on board the boat on the day of your trip. The price is $6.50 per license.

Food and drinks Bring lunches and snacks which are ready to eat. There is a microwave on board. Remember deck space is limited, so please keep lunch coolers small, and leave your large cooler in your trunk (the one to transport all your fish home in)

Coolers Bring a medium to large cooler to leave in your car to transport your fish home. Ice can be purchased at retail outlets in the Harbor. Deck space is limited, so please consolidate your lunches and beverages with other members of your group in smaller coolers.
